Professional Overview:
Dr. Kuriachan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the medical director of Kuriachan Eye Institute. He is collaborating with Tattva Trials to bring clinical research to his ophthalmology facility. With extensive medical and surgical experience in treating cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease, Dr. Kuriachan and his team are ocular experts, and Dr. Kuriachan himself brings prior research experience that informs our partnership. His academic background speaks for itself; having graduated magna cum laude in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, he earned his medical degree with honors from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Bryan, Texas. Throughout his training and career he has operated on and cared for surgery patients at Parkland Memorial Hospital, John Peter Smith Hospital, Children’s Medical Center, the Dallas VA Hospital, Baylor Las Colinas Hospital, and the Coppell Surgery Center. With this experience, Dr. Kuriachan founded Kuriachan Eye Institute in 2018 and became its Medical Director in 2026. While serving as an ophthalmologist in his own institute, Living Magazine Irving Edition Reader’s Choice selected him for Best Ophthalmologist three years in a row.
